BIENNALE 2017 - AUSTRIAN PAVILION VENICE
Minister of Culture, Thomas Drozda will open the Austrian pavilion of the 57th art biennale in Venice on Friday, May 12, 2017 with the contributions of internationally outstanding Austrian artist personalities - Brigitte Kowanz and Erwin Wurm.
The sculptures by Erwin Wurm are exhibited in the listed Austrian Pavilion and in the main entrance area.
In the garden of the Austrian pavilion, a specially designed extension for the lighting installations by Brigitte Kowanz was built in wooden truss construction by architect Hermann Eisenköck.
The biggest challenge was the transport and assembly of prefabricated parts to the Biennale site.
